What Causes Persistent High Fever Along With Pain In Leg?
I have had a fever for the past 3 days ranging from 100 to 102. The first day I was throwing up a lot but that has stopped and the past day I have had a nagging cough. Also I have a pain in my right leg that goes from the top of my thigh to my ankle, it feels like a constant pinched nerve. I am most concerned about the consistent fever for 3 days.
First you have fever with cough. So rule out viral infection first if headache or sore throat or blocked nose also present. It is treated symptomatically. For cold steam inhalation, antihistaminic useful.
If because of fever you have not eat anything then it can lead pain.
Here if you have history trauma or any unaccoustemed position then nerve might be trapped and injury or inflammation to nerve can occur.MRI useful for confirmation if your symptoms getting worsened.
Excessive workout or heavy weight lift can lead muscular strain and pain.
If pain seems to be deep and your CRP,ESR also increasing rule out bone infection like osteomyelitis by local part x ray.
If cause not clear consult doctor for higher investigation like CT or MRI.
Wish you good health.
