I ve been bleeding for going on 6 months straight. I had blood work done and an external & internal ultrasound. Everything came back negative for anything wrong except my thyroid was half a point or whatever to high. The bleeding doesn t lighten up. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Continuous bleeding since last 6 months is not normal.
It could be due to thyroid dysfunction, bleeding disorder, side effect of the medicine, endometrial dysplasia, endometrial cancer, hormonal imbalance, Polyp.
I would suggest to consul the gynecologist and endocrinologist for detailed examination.
Endometrial biopsy, coagulation profile will help in the diagnosis.
Progesterone pill, provera shot, tranaxaemic acid will help to reduce the bleeding.
If not responds then D & C is the treatment to stop the bleeding.
Blood transfusion will help yo restore the blood loss.
Eat healthy diet.
Hope this may help you
