What Causes Persistent Headache And Numbness On Right Side Of Face?

I ve had a headache for 10 days now, started on the right with face numb at one point & then over the next couple of days spread out. Mostly dull ache accompanied with random burning or sharper pains. Also now experiencing body pains that come and go. No fever. Been to dr twice and urgent care once. Last dr visit had blood work done but they want me to wait for follow up appt before going over results. The body pain includes random burning in chest, which hurts to touch, and when I bent over a few minutes ago I could hear my heart beat in my ears. Is it safe to wait 4 more days to see Dr for my results?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent headache and numbness on right side of face . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , migraine , trigeminal neuralgia , bell's palsy and acid reflux . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to face , do light facial exercises and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , drugs like vasograin and recommend physical therapy of face . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for sinusitis or dentist for TMJ problem .
