Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of essential tremors. But you have not mentioned any history of past illness (like diabetic, hypertensive, nerve disorders, etc). You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Neurosurgeon. Get all neurological examinations done. This will include tender reflexes, muscle strength and tone, posture and co-ordination, gait, etc. Get nerve conduction tests, nerve biopsy, imaging tests, performance tests, nerve biopsy done.

Few laboratory tests will be done to detect any thyroid disease, metabolic diseases or drug side effects, etc. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Get treated at the earliest. Whether you have to continue to take or not to take Betacap TR 40 should be be discussed with your treating doctor who has prescribed you the medicine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
