What Causes Persistent Facial Swelling Despite Administering Griseofulvin In A Child?

Hi, My 15 year old son, who s a wrestler, has Tinea capitis. We took him to the ER because his forehead, eyes, and side of his face is all swollen up. Doctor given him anti biotic, then after he finished that they prescribed griseofulvin. but his face is still swollen really bad and its not an allergic reaction...so why is his face swollen

You need to see your doctor again since this drug could be the possible culprit of the current swelling of his face. He might need another alternative treatment for his illness since this drug isn't suitable for him.
