What Causes Persistent Eye Palpitation?

My left eye is palpitating for the past four days
I am a Professor and aged 54years
Palpitations are not continuous
I don't use computer for long hours
I watch TV but from a distance
Please tell me is it a problem and the solution.

Hai,
Eye twitching occurs mostly physiological. at times it occur in dry eyes,,light sensitivity or any abnormality in eye.

pathologically any neurological defect in brain and associated part may trigger eye twitching.
If its really annoying your routine work do need a consultation.

but as for your concern it seems to be normal no need any treatment or medication.
If you find any abnormality in your eye kindly visit ophthalmologist for further advise.
