Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Discomfort In The Upper Right Abdomen?
Discomfort upper right abdomen, near but slightly right of solar plexus. Two weeks and has not subsided. Stomach fills easily and I feel a little bloated. Not changed by food or drink or exertion. No yellowing of eyes or gums or under tongue. Slightly painful to the touch. Located just below rib cage.
Since 2 weeks right sided abdominal pain is not subsided. Hence investigation is needed with USG abdomen for that. If gall stone, fatty liver or any organic cause is present than will be detected by USG. According to the cause specific treatment is given. If pain occurs in particular position then it might be from muscle strain. For bloating take Pantoprazole for a week if acid reflux or gastric indigestion is associated.
Eat slowly and avoid stress. Include green leafy vegetables and fruits more in diet. Gas-forming foods like cabbage, cauliflower, and onion to be taken less. Consult physician for examination and discuss all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
