What Causes Persistent Cough, Asthma And Loss Of Voice?

I have been sick since December 11th. I am 31 years old, extremely fit, aquatic director and swim coach for a day job as well as ski instructor on my days off. It started with a fever and dry cough. It has turned into a looser cough after 5 days of prednisone, 2x daily nebulizer treatments for asthma and lots of robitussin/nyquil. I have no voice and woke up sicker today then I have been since 12/11. What do I do?

ideally, there is much more that should be detailed or enquired about your symptoms like

cough with expectoration or blood,
pain in chest
side of chest
wheezing croups

you should visit a nearby MD MEDICINE OR PULMONOLOGIST

for symptomatic relief you may have,
syp. ambroxol 2 tbsp BD

asthalin inhaler SOS(if you are asthamatic)

Antibiotic course needs to be given but only after proper investigations.
