What Causes Persistent Cold With Headache While On Dayquil?

My husband says he has a cold complains of a terrible headache daily. This has been going on for weeks and he says he still has the cold, is taking dayquil only when he wakes up and says he has a cold. What else could it be? He refuses to see his doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your husband has not been improving since many days.

So it can be bacterial infection as well.

I suggest further investigations for him like CBC, para nasal sinus x ray for primary work up.

He need to be given antibiotic course as well.

Give him levocetirizine plus montelukast like strong decongestant.

Hope this will help you.
Regards,
