What Causes Persistent Bad Taste In The Mouth?

Hi
I have a bad taste in my mouth, have lost most taste and smell abilities. I have used a neti pot and a nasal salt wash and took a ten day antibiotic treatment prescribed by my dr. The problem has been ongoing since April. No major single s pain, only a little pressure. Very little with no pain. Mainly a bad taste that won't go away. What else can be the problem.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain bad taste in mouth can be due to a number of reasons like oral and dental infections, sinus infection, upper respiratory tract infection, post nasal drip, acid reflux, tonsil stones etc..

Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations as per suspected cause can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly..

As of now you can start chewing sugarfree chewing gums.
Gargle with flavoured antiseptic mouthwash..
Do warm saline gargle.
Take steam with few drops of Eucalyptus oil in boiling water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
