What Causes Persistent Abdominal Pain And Irregular Periods?

For more than a year I have had a consistent pinching pain in the lower left abdomen region typically following ovulation. The pain level is about 3 on a scale of 1-10. I have been trying to conceive for 10 months without success - blood tests come out normal, ovulation tests come out positive. Over the past 3 months I have had abnormal periods and increased amount of abdominal pain. My doctor said she suspected ovarian cysts and that symptoms should subside. I am worried that I have something more serious going on than a bout of cysts

Hi,

USG or culdocentesis can tell. Also, check levels of ca125 levels, It is best to do an MRI but it's costly. These are to be done in female tests. Do routine blood levels tests, TSH, papanicolua test, pelvic USG and hysterosalpingogram. If nothing is found in the above tests then do an endometrial biopsy, FSH levels, CCCT test, follicles count and AMH assay. This will make a diagnosis.
