Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Can you send me a picture? was the pain a sudden onset one? Any pain on urination? A sudden onset pain over scrotum/testes can suggest torsion (twisted testes) or epidydimo orchitis (infection). The former one is an emergency and needs emergency surgery while the later just needs antibiotics for few days. If the pain and tenderness persists after two days, I would suggest getting an ultrasound Doppler to rule out torsion. Kindly discuss with your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
