The pain and the swelling will gradually subside .I would advice your to continue the medicine pain killers and antibiotic prescribed by the surgeon correctly.

Do not apply hot bag externally , though you can apply cold compress intermittently.

Do saline gargling ,but not vigourously .

Keep good oral hygiene and stop smoking if you do by any chance.

If the swelling increases or pain is out of control ,please report back to your dentist office so that he will have a look at it.

I understand your worry.wisdom tooth extraction is not like normal tooth extraction.usually we need to cut some bone surrounding the wisdom tooth to take it out.so when our body's defence mechanism is trying to heal the bone swelling is common.Absolutely no need to panic.Also important nerves and arteries passing near to wisdom tooth.so pain is easily transferred to other areas also.That is why you are having pain in your head.All the problems related to wisdom tooth extraction will settle within 3 weeks.Avoid hot foods since it will affect the blood clotting at the extraction site.you can gargle with salt water twice daily and prevent food accumulation to avoid secondary infection.
