What Causes Pelvic Pain After Partial Hysterectomy?

My 44 year old daughter had a partial hysterictamy, sp? in November. Yesterday she was bent over with pelvic pain. Her geinacologist, sp? said to wait 36 hours and if the pain doesn t subside come and see her. She is using a heating pad and the pain has only slightly subsided. Can it be a burst cyst on her ovary?
