What Causes Partial Memory Loss After Being Intubated For Acute Pulmonary Embolism?

I had a acute pulmonary embolism and had to be intubated. I was told that while intubated and for two days after the tube was removed i was having comversatioms with family and friends. I cant not remember anything after the IUC staff began the intubation process. My memory does not pick up until 3 days after the tub was removed. Can you please tell me if this is normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is the effect of dissociative anesthesia responsible for such loss of memory, which is actually a self-remitting phase rather than active pursue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
