What Causes Panic Attacks?

Hi, I have suffered two panic attacks in the last year. They were very clear to me that they were panic attacks, I couldnt breathe properly, I felt sick, I couldnt move, my head heart for a while after. A couple of days ago I was stood talking to friends, all of a sudden i felt like i couldnt see or talk the feeling of losing my sight intensified quickly and i collapsed with my friend catching. Similar to the panic attacks it took about ten minutes of quiet to come out of. I am unsure if this was a panic attack it came on much quicker and i was fully unable to stand. I dont remember exactly what happened but apparently i looked fine and had my eyes open the whole time. I am 5 6 weight 11st12lbs. 23 years old and i eat pretty healthily.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the panic attacks can be in relation to triggering factors such as particular traumatic event, episode or anger producing acts or thoughts. Many times, fear of panic attack itself also increases its relapse chances as well as symptomatic severity of the existing attack. It is best recommended to consult an expert psychologist for interrogation of this condition and get necessary guidelines of cure.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
