Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Your palpitations may be due to high blood pressure which will leads to anxiety which further precipitates palpitations.

My advice to you is -

1. At present your blood pressure is not very high that you have to go to emergency room but at least consult a cardiologist and ask about 24 hrs blood pressure monitoring machine which will record blood pressure for 24 hrs and give your proper idea how much your blood pressure is fluctuating. Then proper treatment can be given.

2.Only hydrochlorothiazide is not sufficient for blood pressure control actually. You need a stronger medication.

3. If your palpitations will not be controlled then may require holter monitoring (24 hrs hrs ecg monitoring). But it's very early to say at present.

So. Follow my advice and you may get your answer.
Have a nice day. Thank you.
