What Causes Palpitations And Pain In The Jaw?

I have heart palpitations that are so fast and hard sometimes they make my jaw ache. I have worn a monitor and had a stress test with an ultrasound. The doctor said my heart looks great, but still the palpitations. I really hate them. No shortness of breath...no dizziness...just pounding. Don t see an obvious connection to stress. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Thank you for reaching out to Health Care Magic.

Palpitations and jaw pain may be seen with many heart related diseases. Common causes of this include -
High blood pressure
Coronary artery disease
Acidity
Heart disease
and Dissection of the aorta

Here are a few things that can help with the symptoms. Get an ECG done.
Get blood lipid levels checked. See a cardiologist. Get regular check ups.

Discuss medication with your doctor if needed and decide the next best treatment. Some people find using a treadmill test useful as well.

I hope this helps. Please reach out to me if you have any other questions.
