What Causes Palpitations And Headaches?

hi, I ve scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist, but it s in 3 weeks. I m just curious as to if I should be worried. I occasionally have a rapid heart beat that last a few seconds, lately I ve been having headaches just about every day and I feel sleepy all the time. My blood pressure is still in the normal range (but high for me, based on history) and does go up if I get upset or stressed out. How concerned should I be that my appointment is still three weeks out?

Hello,

There are many causes for chest pain and palpitations, up to 60% patients they are idiopathic and 40% are due to cardiac dysfunction or electrolyte imbalance or thyroid abnormalities or anemia et cetera.

Please consult your cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
