What Causes Palpitations And Elevated Heart Rate?

I have been hearing and feeling my heartbeat in my ear loudly in the morning lately and when I do my eyes will go in and out with the heart beat. I have left subclavian steel syndrome they put in a stint at the aortic arch and my ribs crushed it so it formed its own bypass. So I was wondering if it was that? But I also have a leaky valve is what my cardiologist said. But I fell and hit my chin and now my jaw is over to my right side but I hear the heartbeat and feel it throb in my left ear. Also my heart has been racing sometimes lately. What do you think is causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You should report your symptoms to your treating doctor & get examined. You cannot ignore & stay at home like this. Looks like you are developing some complication after you fell, irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) & palpitation cannot be neglected. Continue with the medications prescribed & visit ER. You need to get re-examined & investigated for proper diagnosis of your developing symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
