Hi I had a reaction from the eye exam dr using tropacmide drops. After I left I had shortness of breath and panic feeling that was like my heart pounding for a second then quitting. My stomach has been bloated for 2 days now and I was foggy brained all day. The appointment was on Monday. Dr didn t answer my call, tech said go to E.r.. They monitored my heart said everything was normal, blood work also normal. Said it just had to leave my system. Felt the jumpy heart more so after leaving er. Stomach also felt slightly nauseated today. I had wanted to know if I should take Benadryl for the reaction but no one would tell me. After all the er testing they said it was too late anyway now. So I read I was supposed to alert my dr if I had these symtoms which I see the mayo clinic says you can have. My question is what should the dr have done about the reaction and how long can this bloating and foggy brain last. Also if I am going to do the lazer surgery how can I numb my eye for it? Also I am gluten intolerant if that makes a difference.
