What Causes Pale Lips And Discoloration Around Mouth?

Can you tell me the cause of pale lip and around mouth discolorations?... They have been there for about 9 months but have recently become slightly more noticeable. I believe the discoloration coincided with a change in toothpaste. They are not as white and noticeable as vitiligo is

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have pale lips and discoloration around mouth which is because of digestive issues in your body. Upper lip, mouth are the main organs which got affected first with digestive tract problem. Vitiligo could not be our condition as in that prominent spots occurs around mouth. Excessive exposure to sun light is also one of the major contributing factor for this as it will cause excessive absorption of UV rays of sun and causes discoloration in that area.

I would suggest you to visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined properly. Your symptoms will resolve soon. Drink plenty of water for proper re hydration. Change your dietary regimen as doctor will prescribe you.

Apply cotton swab dipped in aloe vera gel and coat area around mouth 3-4 times a day it will give better effects. Steroids rich in azealic acid are effective remedy for this.
