Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that painless white patches inside with a history of
tobacco chewing can due to excessive formation of keratin layer over the cheek mucosa as a protective phenomena to injury caused by
tobacco..
It can lead to either
Frictional keratosis which is a harmless condition while can also lead to
Leukoplakia that is a precancerous lesion but still can resolve if habit is stopped and proper treatment is taken..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like
Biopsy can help in confirmation and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if it is frictional keratosis, it will get resolved once the habit is stopped..
In case of Leukoplakia, stopping tobacco intake completely followed by intake of multivitamins and anti-oxidants like
Lycopene for a period of atleast three months with regular follow ups to decide further course of treatment has to be done..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
