I just started RN school, worried about my grown children, daughter was fired I m having to help her with her bills I m not working like I used to due to school and , I say this thinking I may be stressed and don t know it, I have one bump or had a bump between my buttocks in the middle of the vagina and anus, not open, no broken skin or drainage, also at the time my lymph nodes to left groin swollen and sore, and painful. I had some leftover Bactrim I m taking , thinking it may be a boil, or an ulcer, the bump has decreased, lymph nodes have gone down, decreased soreness and swelling but now I have terrible pain to buttocks area, all day I have no pain, soon as I get out of the shower it seems irritated and very painful to touch, tender, when I dry off put clothes on and don t touch I don t feel any pain, just now going to the bathroom when urinating OH MY GOSH Urine hit the area and burning sensation, with horrible pain, could you please tell me what might be going on, could I have irritated the area while bathing, I don t know please help

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In most cases this is just a swollen lymph node that doesn't require any specific treatment.

Also, considering your description this maybe some other benign subcutaneous lesion such as lipoma, fibroma or atheroma and if there are no skin changes such as redness, pus discharge or pain and fever then you should not be worried since it can be easily surgically removed under local anesthesia.

Then it there are doubts it can be sent to the patohistologic analysis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
