Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So what I thought started out as a bladder infection, because there was a little pain when i urinated. Went to the doctor, no signs of infection from Urine and blood samples, no STDs. CT scan showed negative for kidney stones. So, went back to the doctor because I started to develop pain in the right side of my abdomen and the X-ray showed a lot of stool in my system so I was constipated. They gave me a laxative and I got cleaned out. Side pain stopped but the Urinary pain continues and now the pain is constant that feels like it s in the penile region but not sure exactly where the pain is actually coming from. Any ideas what this could be? This has now been going on for 6 days now.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think you are suffering from chronic prostatitis that is infection of prostatic gland but is mild infection. The tests come negative and pain persists. Your doctor should perform a rectal touche or/and an ultrasound to see the prostate if it is enlarged or inflamed. The treatment is done by alpha adrenergic blockers, tricyclic antidepressants and anti inflammatory drugs for pain. Some doctors may give antibiotics. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
