What Causes Painful Urination And Blood In Urine?

Hello, I have just started taking a pre-workout supplement and working out 4-5 days a week. Lately I have noticed pain when I urinate and my urinate is kind of neon pink and may have a little blood in it. Is there a way to clear this up and still use pre-workout?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the blood in urine, and painful urination is not related to eating protein supplements. There must rule out a urinary tract infection. Do a urine sample for it. When you eat more protein, more nitrogen is produced and needs to be excreted, to help if I can recommend, you to drink plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
