My 16 year old just came home and was complaining that his ears hurt.I looked at them and saw tiny clusters, dark in color that looked like pitting(?)in outer area of both ears.He must have scratched, because one ear has some blood. He says they don't itch, just hurt. What could have caused this and what is the treatment?
dear it is difficult to to say what is the cause until examination is done.central pitting may be due to molluscum contagiousness.other possibility including acne, actinic keratoses, allergic contact dermatitis, cellulitis, chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis and epidermoid cysts.please consult ent surgeon/dermatologist they will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
