Hello and welcome to HCM,
The pimple which is sore, swollen and hot is due to bacterial infection.
Covering the pimple with plaster is not required.
Instead the pimple needs to be uncovered and proper dressing of the burst pimple needs to be done.
Depending on the state of pimple currently, debridement may be required followed by application of antibiotic ointment.
The the infection is spreading, oral antibiotic may also be required.
I suggest you to consult a surgeon for clinical assessment and management of the pimple.

Thanks and take care
