What Causes Painful Ribs In Bronchitis Patients ?

following a respiratory illness to include sinusitis, bronchitis instigated by allergies, I have developed moderate pain around my rib cage. I feel I never fully recovered from the resp. At first thought maybe I had muscular strain from all the coughing, but now only occasional cough. I can not lay on my sides to sleep because it hurts. and when I breath, sometimes it feels like something catches or pings a rib. what could this be?

I really appreciate your concern, because of the allergic condition it might have developed the chest congestion and some time it could cause the respiratory constriction, such condition can be managed with inhaler of steroid contains, proton pump inhibitor can be used and best would be "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg" once in day, oral antihistamine can be used like "Tab Loratadine with Pseudoephedrine" once in day, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
