What Causes Painful Red Patches On Skin After Taking Tazorac?

Hi. My dermatologist prescribed me tazorac .1% for my rosacea. I used for 3 nights and it burnt my skin. Now my skin is with red patches, irritated and in pain. I m using aloe vera and a cortisone cream for the inflammation, itch and redness. I m worried if my skin will remain like this or it will peel that burnt skin off. What I should do now?

Hello,

Please meet your dermatologist you might need a change in medication as it might have caused some amount of allergy to you, please discontinue the medication what caused the problem. Don't worry about the burnt skin the scar should subside in sometime as the dermatologist will suggest some good ointment to control damage in your follow up.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
