What Causes Painful Periods?

I think I may have endometriosis. I have been trying to conceive a few months without success. I have fairly painful periods and 3 of my aunts and 2 cousins have all been diagnosed. What symptoms are out of the ordinary that I should be looking for before I go into a gynecologist to get tested?

Hi,

Have you been evaluated for endometriosis? Painful periods can be just plain dysmenorrhea. If you have not been able to conceive for few months, it can have multiple reasons such as not had physical contact on ovulation period, or just hormonally you or your husband weren't best at that time. Meet a gynecologist and let the doctor examine and tell you what could help you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
