What Causes Painful Muscle Pull In The Upper Left Thigh?

I feel like I have pulled a muscle in my upper left thigh. But it s been going on for weeks now. I also have a tendency to sit with my right leg under me a lot or to bring both legs up and to the side when sitting in a comfortable chair. I thought this could be the reason for the pain. The pain usually only happens if I move my leg a certain way. Could this be anything other than a pulled muscle or because of how I sit with my leg or legs under me or to the side?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a simple musculoskeletal pain.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
