Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

A lump under the areola needs to be investigated. I suggest you to consult your surgeon for clinical assessment, ultrasound and fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). FNAC is an office procedure which determines the nature of cells aspirated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
