What Causes Painful Bumps Similar To Hives On Soft Palate After Eating?

First thing I ate today at 6pm was a piece of garlic bread the size of my palm. Almost finishing. I already felt my soft palate begin to hurt a little. Bumps came out almost like hives. They don't hurt anymore and are getting small. This happend a while back but with different food. I noticed it usuallyhappens when I eat something tough, like the bread. What can it be???

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that have allergic reactions to some of the constituent present in the foods you consumed both the times and there must be a common constituent present in both the times the food you took which you are allergic to..

It comes under the food allergies..

In case if you have bumps still present you can take antihistamines like Allegra or benadryl..
Gargle with 1 : 1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl can be relieving...
Salt water rinses can help..

In case if there are recurring symptoms of the same problem you should consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise you investigations like RAST test, Patch test, Food Challenge test etc to rule out the exact cause of the allergic reaction and treat you accordingly..

The best way to avoid the allergic reaction to happen again is to avoid exposure to allergen.
An immunotherapy can also be instilled by the Allergist to reduce the severity and frequency of allergic symptoms..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
