What Causes Painful Bump On Tail Bone?

I have this pain at the end of my tail bone due to a boil . This thing has recently started secreting blood and pus. I googled it and it seems that I have a pilonidal cyst which I am still not sure. What do you reckon I should do to treat this, as it is annoying and painful particularly because of the location it is at.

Hi, Welcome to healhcaremagic. After going through your query I concluded that you may be having simple boil in anal region. You have not mentioned the duration of your pus discharge. If it is more than 2 weeks duration then it can be pilonodal sinus, for which you need to see general surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. For boil you need analgesic such as ibuprofen and antibiotics. Vitamin B and C helpful in recovery. You can discuss your doctor about it. I think your query get answered. If you have additional questions and clarification don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
