What Causes Painful Bump Inside The Vagina?

i have this bump that hurts but doesnt have a head inside the lips of my vagina next to the clit i used to get them when i wa younger but only on the lips. i hadnt had one in years till last month and it to was inside. they last about a week or so then go way. what is this???

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the your description, it appears that you could be having infected 'Bartholin's cyst'.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Clean the area with mild antiseptic solution like Povidine-iodine solution twice daily.
2. Take antiinflammatory analgesic medication like Ibuprofen after food.
3. Take a course of antibiotics containing Amoxacillin and Clavulenic acid.
4. Take warm Sitz bath twice daily.
5. Abstain from sexual activities till the lesions heal completely.
It should start to subside by doing above measures by 3 to 5 days.
In case the cyst recurs or does not subside, you may have to undergo a procedure called 'marsupialization'. Kindly consult Gynecologist for evaluation and management.
