What Causes Painful Bulging Vein On Right Side Of Jawline?
I have a bulging vein the size of a small worm on the right side of my jaw line. I wasn't concerned about it previously but it has grown in size. It hurts when too much pressure is applied. I also have had severe headaches while working out more recently. I am wondering if the two are connected and what may be causing both.
As per your query you have symptoms of painful bulging veins on right side of jaw line which is mainly because of infection presence in that area due to periodontal or periapical abscess. Infection from tooth in molar region due to any oral cavity or poor oral hygiene got accumulated and that infection caused accumulation of bacteria in that and leads to formation of pus. That pus is not finding any way to get eliminated and reached facial spaces and causes swelling of veins in sub mandibular space area.
I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get IOPA( X-ray ) done for that area to know about the extent of infection. If it is tooth related go for RCT of that tooth and take painkillers such as Ibuprofen and Diclofenac.
If its because of poor oral hygiene go for scaling and root planning in that area. Use Listerine mouth wash.
Your symptoms will subside soon.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
