What Causes Painful Big Toe Without Any Ingrown Nail?

I have a pain in my right big toe and I don t seem to have an ingrown toenail but each time I put on a shoe, I cannot have it touch my big toe. The pain is on the left side of the right toe right at the nail at the tip of the toe. What could it be. There is no discoloration.

your problem is with ill fitting shoes probably. change your shoes preferably sports shoe. trim your nail from the distal end even after this if problem does not resolve change your gate carefully and don't strike your toes while walking.
