What Causes Pain While Urinating?

Hi, lately I ve been having pain when I urinate. It basically feels like my groin/lower belly is being tightened in a vice. I thought maybe it might be a UTI, but I ve had it before and I don t have any other symptoms. I haven t experienced any need to urinate more frequently, and there is no burning when I do. It just hurts my stomach really REALLY bad. The area is prettysore and there s a sharp stabbing pain if I move too quickly, but those pains are brief and go away quickly. Can this still be a UTI? My doctor s office is closed for the weekend, so what can I do to help with the pain until I can see my doctor next week?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to urinary stones or infection or combination of both. A urine routine should be done to rule out urinary infection. Ultrasound examination should be done to rule out stones. If just infection antibiotic therapy will be helpful. If stones are present and is small then taking more water and urine alkaizing agents like potassium citrate will be helpful. Taking barley water or cranberry juice is good also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
