What Causes Pain Under The Feet While On Losartan?

I have been taking Losartan for couple of years and did not find any reaction and have been getting from Walmart. Now that the manufacturer [Legacy Pharmaceutical] has changed the white pill to a blue pill. Since I have been taking blue color pill, I started getting pains under my feet specially my right foot. What could be the possible cause. Could that be the color. it is very discomfortable. please advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Very likely the pain under your feet and the use of Losartan are not related to one another. The change of the color of Losartan does not change the medication in the pill so it is unlikely this would cause the pain.
Very likely you are developing plantar fasciitis which is inflammation of the tendon that connects the heel with the toes. You will need to see your doctor to make sure which is the cause of the pain and have the proper treatment for it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
