Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

Knee pain can be caused by :

1) A sudden injury.
2) An overuse injury.
3) Arthritis.

Treatment will vary depending on the cause. Some advice that I can give you are:

1) Use painkillers for the pain such as Ibuprofen 400 mg.
2) Use local ointments such as Fastum gel for the pain.
3) See a rheumatologist, if the situation does not get better.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other questions, Ill be glad to help.

Thank you for the query.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
