General & Family Physician 's  Response
Short answer: Commonest cause for pain at tip of toe is injury to skin, nerves, bone, blood vessel due to ingrown toe nails, callouses, corns or blisters.

Detailed answers: Gout is a disease that affects joints so it is highly unlikely that a pain at the tip of toe is due to gout as there is no joint involved there. Uric acid levels in blood are affected by the food we eat prior to the test. So a diet rich in proteins will result in more uric acid levels in blood.
Hope this answers your query. Thank you.
