I have been experiencing pain in the middle right side of my back. It started 6 weeks ago and it is getting worse. When I cough it hurts deep inside, and when I sneeze the pain inside feels like a knife stabbing me. usually stopping the sneeze. I haven t lost weight, appetite, or had any problem with urination. I am 58 years old 6 tall and 230 lbs. Very active. walk approximately 5 miles every day. Non smoker, non drinker, no drugs of any kind. I have a appointment on monday next week . Both of my parents have had or have cancer of different types. Dad prostate, Mom breast, bone, hip area. both still alive at 85 fighting and living well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
In most of cases, cancer does not cause pain especially in it's early stages,so I don't think you have one but in the meanwhile you should do some investigations like complete stool and urine analysis ,an ultrasound imaging on your abdomen and pelvis..if there is nothing,,this would be a muscle strain which needs only a pain killers
