What Causes Pain On The Neck, Shoulders And Back?

Hi, I have been to the doctors twice and both times I have seen a nurse and have been given no real answer to what is going on. It began with pain in my head, neck, shoulders and back on my right side. Then I found a few lumps on the left side of my neck on the inside just near my shoulder, which now have grown and multiplied, but seem to be of no concern to the nurse. After this I had pain in my throat, I became exhausted and I ve had chills and I ve sweat excessively. Now I can t eat anything without feeling sick or smell anything without it knocking me sick, ( I am definitely not pregnant) usually a smoker I now cannot smoke or smell smoke without it knocking me sick. And I have a foam like liquid that comes up when I burp or heave, and I also seem to have phlegm or a mucusy spit that constantly stuck in my throat. On top of all this my chest is very tight and if I take a deep breath in its very painful. Any advice or answers would be much appreciated.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
The pains that you have described are likely to be due to a muscular pain most likely caused by a muscle spasm. Taking mild pain killers and muscle relaxants will bring a short term relief. Regular stretching exercise will be helpful.
you can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the spasm.
If this persist I suggest you to get it evaluated by an orthopaedician.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
