What Causes Pain On Outside Of Ear And Jaw?

I have had a dull pain on the outside of my ear for about a week. I thought maybe it was a pimple or something, but nothing ever came of it. It has now spread further down about 3 inches and all of that area is sore to the touch. No swelling or redness, though. Today, I started to have some sensitivity in my jaw area and now it is becoming more painful in my jaw.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for asking at HCM
this pain could be because of the tooth problem . which is getting referred to the ear and jaw area .
You should get dental consultation done .The referred pain is because of the common nerve supply , which is between ear, teeth , and the brain is not able to understand from where the actual pain is arising.
In doubt do reply
