Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In Upper Right Quadrant Of The Body After An Injury?
I fell on my back 2 days ago on slippery concrete and knocked the breath out of myself. X-rays were negative for breaks but i have acute pain when i cough, sit up, lay down or turn in the wrong direction. It is not a persistant pain but is triggered by my actions. Pain is located in upper right quadrant. Could this be just muscle damage that will heal in a week or so? Or do I need to revisit my doctor.
Hi, Welcome to HCM, according to your history and x-rays it seems like muscular pain only. it will be relieved by topical and oral painkillers within few days. If it will not relieved after few days you should visit your doctor or go for Abdominal Scan to rule out pain in right upper quadrant. hope so it answers your question. you can write again for any querry and questions. Regards
