What causes pain in the wrists and foreams?

It started in my hands, mainly my middle finger on both hands. They don’t hurt all the time but when they do I have extreme pain in my wrists as well! I have to drive some days with wrists supports on. When I wake up in the morning and get out of bed I hobble like I’m 100 years old. It takes a few minutes before I can walk upright and normal without pain. My hands some mornings as well as my wrists hurt so badly I sit in the shower for 30 minutes running very hot water on them so I can function. I experience weakness on the days I have the pain which effects my forearm and upper arm strength and my shoulders ache during these times as well.

Hi,

If the pain and tingling feeling is from the wrist down to your fingers worse at night then probably you have what is known as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Please get your thyroid and vit D levels checked too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

A few months ago, my right wrist had a little pain in it. I thought I had slept wrong because I haven t done anything else that I know of. The pain got a little more sensitive over the next few weeks and went away for awhile. About three weeks ago, the pain came back, but only when I moved my wrist a certain way and when I did, the pain was awful! A couple days ago, the pain became consistent and then instead of only staying in my wrist it began shooting into my elbow and even up into my pinky. I ve thought about it and consider it being carpal tunnel syndrome from texting too much. I noticed this because whenever I move my thumb the pain in my wrist would become much worse.

I have a pain in my right wrist where my ulna attaches to my hand. It only hurts when I make a sudden movement with my hand, one time grabbing a stapler off my desk today, another time turning something over, and another time lifting a small object. It also was agrivated when driving home from work today. today is the first time I felt this pain.
