What Causes Pain In The Upper Leg?

right upper leg middle front...suddenly shot of pain somewhat like Charlie horse wakes me and I must get up and straighten leg out ..incredible like a hot poker of bullet...then it subsides and goes away started just recently..I have congestive heart failure and have just been put back on diurectic 40 mg

Upper leg pain may be due to some accidental injury, sciatica or disc prolapsed or may be due to neuropathy to rule out exact cause consult your doctor and do CT scan / MRI and other investigations .
