What Causes Pain In The Upper Back Area?

I have been sick - cold symptoms (cough and runny nose) but extremely tired and irritable, eyes hurt, headache and head fog now I have pain in my back that hurts continuously - even kept me awake at night. What could the upper back pain mean? (mid to upper on right side)

Hello,

It may be due to muscle sprain. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. Do regular physical therapy. In case of not getting relief you may require MRI back after orthopedician consultation.
