What Causes Pain In The Throat?

Hi I am on day 7 recovery from having a tonsillectomy. I am having some pain that I believe is caused by food trapped inside the hole left from where the tonsil use to be. Is there a proper way to do so? I have tried gargling with salt water to coax it and it has not worked.

Hello dear!
i can understand your concern.
Its probably because of the healing scar.
Gargling with salt water is a good thing.I would advise you to continue this.
Try some antiseptic mouthwash. The pain will settle with the passage of time.
Hope it will help.
Wishing you good health :-)
